Woodstock is gearing up for another round of big development, with two major projects set to reshape both the downtown district and the east side of the city. The first is a newly revealed six-story, 130-room hotel planned for the area across from the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater. Designed with brick and glass to match the character of downtown, the hotel will bring amenities the city has long needed: on-site restaurants and bars, a spa, retail space, and roughly 5,000 square feet of event and conference space. Landscaping buffers and thoughtful architectural step-backs aim to keep the building feeling integrated with the surrounding area.
Just a few miles away, on a nine-acre site within the Buice Lake master-planned community, a second project is moving forward: a 290-unit luxury apartment development called Sutton Row. The community is planned with a resort-style feel, think multi-story clubhouse, co-working areas, yoga and spin studio, a large pool deck, an on-site market and coffee bar, and direct access to a future Cherokee County multi-use trail. Leasing is expected to begin in late 2026, with full build-out in 2027.
Together, these projects signal that Woodstock’s rapid growth isn’t slowing down — it’s evolving. The city is clearly leaning into high-quality lodging, expanded residential options, and amenities that support both local businesses and the growing number of families choosing to call Woodstock home. As more development rolls out in the coming years, downtown and the surrounding communities will continue to transform into a vibrant, connected destination in the North Metro.
